Introduction

TSL was founded in the UK back in 2002 and the country remains one of our largest markets. Headquartered in Chalfont Park House, just 25 minutes from Central London, our core central team supports our operational teams to deliver projects right across the UK. 

The UK team have forged close partnerships with many of our long-standing clients and continue to support them in cooperation with our international teams, to deliver the high quality industrial facilities they require to realise their own global business expansion plans.

Chief Operating Officer: Steven Penglase

Steven is a highly experienced leader, with extensive knowledge of the construction industry across the UK and EMEA. With a background in project delivery, Steven spent many years as a Project Director leading a range of complex schemes across the logistics, food, advanced manufacturing and data centre sectors. With a breadth of operational experience across international markets, Steven has a rich technical knowledge and commercial acumen to ensure our teams continue to achieve fast-track programmes without compromise on safety or quality.

TSL's Operations in UK

We have a very diverse portfolio of live projects across the UK. From logistics campuses, a state of the art automotive facility, a range of mission critical data centre projects alongside cold stores and pharmaceutical facilities, our technical construction expertise remains varied and broad.

Yet, underpinning all of these project types is our systematised, consistent approach to delivery. We’re proud that our reputation for construction excellence across the UK not only helps facilitate British businesses to expand their operations, but also supports inward investment into the UK economy by international businesses who trust us to deliver a range of ‘halls for industry’ on time and on budget.

Maintaining the highest standards of health and safety has always been the first and most important consideration across all of our activities. The active safety culture and robust standards for health, safety and wellbeing that have been developed over many years, beginning in the UK business, are now exported across all of our countries of operation.

This is achieved through our global contractor standards, international safety stand ups and our relentless focus on continuous improvement across the UK and beyond.

As a construction partner in the UK to global technology companies, cold chain logistics giants, well-known food retailers and leading manufacturers, this market represents the origins of our core aim to add value at every stage of project delivery for international brands.

In the UK, we continue to strengthen and diversify our expertise across the data centre market as we deliver ambitious programmes for high profile clients.
We also maintain our strong standing in the logistics sector, with two recent projects achieving Outstanding BREEAM Accreditations with industry-leading scores of 90.7% (at design stage) and 97.8% (at post construction). This demonstrates the successful delivery of our sustainability strategy, which the ESG pages detail further.

TSL continues to lead in the food sector across the UK, including acting as construction partner to SmartParc – a state-of-the-art food park in Derby, which will provide 2 million sq ft of dedicated production space for the food industry. 

We have established ourselves as a trusted construction partner to large cold store providers and remain committed to the development of the cold chain across the UK.

Above all, our collaborative approach across these sectors of operation enhances efficiency, mitigates risks, and promotes a seamless transition from pre-construction right the way through to successful client handover.
